After years of working on other people's blogs I decided to give it a try myself! I'm a working mom of two trying to get by while having some fun, avoiding a nervous breakdown and look good doing it. You'll find me writing about low carb recipes, beauty reviews and various life hacks.

A Review of Naturium’s Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser: A Tatcha Rice Wash Dupe

In the world of skincare, it’s a jungle out there. With Billions of dollars spent annually on R&D and marketing, countless brands are vying for our attention. This can make finding a new brand and a new product overwhelming. In comes Naturium, a newer brand known for research backed ingredients at low prices, what else could I ask for! My first brush with the brand is with their Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser, and I love it.

After trying Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser, it has quickly become one of my favorite face washes. First of all, Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser is the perfect Tatcha rice wash dupe. This is nearly an exact replica for Tatcha’s Rice Wash, which I love, and you can find out more about that here, but the Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser rings in at about a quarter of the price at just $14! This is a drugstore price for what I think is a premium face wash.  Similar to Tatcha’s Rice Wash it has a creamy base and a gentle scrub. The feel is almost identical, however the Naturium cleanser is a little thinner, which I appreciate since it seems like a little goes a long way. The scrub action is gentle but strong enough to slough away peeling and dead skin cells. And the gentle beads are not sharp and there is no risk of skin tearing, which can happen with some scrubs.

The Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser left my skin feeling fresh and clean. I love this at the end of the day when I need a deeper clean to get any makeup or sunscreen off. This does the job and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or dry. With consistent use my skin is noticeably smoother and more radiant. This scrub is gentle enough to use daily and is gentle enough for all skin types. Making this a great face was for those with sensitive skin.

Why Naturium Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser Stands Out

What truly sets Naturium’s Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser apart are its incredible ingredients. In the realm of skincare, ingredients matter, and this one boasts a lineup that’s hard to beat, especially at this price point.

Niacinamide: This skincare superstar does it all – anti-aging, pore minimization, soothing, and acting as an antioxidant and humectant. It’s famous for its prowess in visibly reducing enlarged pores and improving dull, uneven skin tone. And is a rockstar ingredient for those with rosacea.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract: Rich in skin-conditioning fatty acids, proteins, and complex B vitamins, this ingredient offers hydration and anti-aging benefits.

Sodium Hyaluronate: This salt form of hyaluronic acid is exceptional for hydration and anti-aging. It can hold an impressive six liters of water per gram and is readily absorbed into the skin, providing that much-needed moisture boost.

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract: It offers anti-aging and hydration benefits while acting as an antioxidant and humectant. Plus, it’s a rich source of polyphenolic antioxidants, protecting your skin against free radicals.

Camellia Oleifera (Green Tea) Leaf Extract: A rich source of antioxidants, including the potent polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). It boasts anti-aging and soothing properties, making it a strong addition.

Lactic Acid: This multitasker can be extracted from milk or synthetically made, providing exfoliation, hydration, and pH stabilization. It also strengthens the skin’s barrier and positively influences the skin’s microbiome.

Panthenol: This hydrating ingredient is known for its ability to attract and retain moisture. It’s your skin’s ally in reducing sensitivity-induced redness, often referred to as pro-vitamin B5.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a high-quality Tatcha dupe, because shelling out $40 for face wash seems crazy, give this Naturium face wash a try. It doesn’t just match Tatcha’s renowned quality; in my opinion it exceeds it with a rich array of skin-loving ingredients along with that lower price tag. Your skin and wallet will thank you for making the switch.

I give Naturium’s Fermented Rice Enzyme Cleanser 5 stars and it has definitely earned a spot as a best face wash! The ingredients, performance, price and the ability to use on sensitive and aging skin types makes this a must buy.
